Statement of Support

We extend our condolences and support to all those impacted by the recent wildfires around the Los Angeles area.  We also acknowledge the tireless efforts of first responders and community members who have been working diligently to combat the wildfires and aid displaced individuals during these challenging times.

Please continue to pray for the containment of these wildfires, for the salvation of those who are suffering due to the effects of this unprecedented situation, and for the successful recovery of those that are trying to rebuild their homes and their lives.

Following visits to local evacuation shelters and discussions with those leading relief efforts in the affected communities, we at the Tenrikyo Mission Headquarters in America have determined that the most effective way for us to provide our support is through the collection of monetary donations to contribute to the rebuilding of these communities. We will be collecting donations until March 16, upon which we will be forwarding your donations to an organization that will allocate the funds to assist with necessities like food, shelter, emotional care, recovery planning and financial assistance (this organization will be named at a later date).
