Boys and Girls Association Convention Held on August 16

Lots of Enthusiasm and Fun at Boys and Girls Association General Convention

by Makiko Kawata

On Saturday, August 16, the 49th Annual General Convention of the Boys and Girls Association of America was held with much enthusiasm and spirit. Forty-seven Boys and Girls Association members and over seventy parents and staff took part in the event.

Wearing their service kimono, the Boys and Girls Association members performed the service in high spirit with all their effort, offering the fruits of their dedicated practice to God the Parent, Oyasama, and their ancestors.

In the afternoon, they enjoyed the annual Summer Festival with game booths, ice cream, cotton candy, and more.

It was a wonderful day in which both adults and children shared in the joy together, becoming a great source of spirited resolve as we move toward the 140th Anniversary of Oyasama.
