The 2026 TSA Spring Conference was successfully held at Tenrikyo Mission Headquarters in America over Memorial Day weekend, from Saturday, May 23, through Monday, May 25.

A total of 15 participants attended the conference, ranging from high school students as young as 15 years old to college students in their twenties. Reflecting on the event, TSA President Kylie Tomizawa shared, "This year's conference was very joyful, comforting, and a huge success! We all had a great opportunity to deepen our understanding and appreciation of the Teachings, strengthen friendships, and create many lasting memories together."

Through educational and inspiring lectures by Rev. Hiroko Okazaki and Rev. Koji Uesugi, participants learned more about the Teachings, particularly the concept of the "dusts of the mind" and how to apply the Teachings to overcome challenges and live joyously as teenagers and young adults. The students also gained valuable insight, encouragement, and practical guidance from college-aged TSA members, who shared their personal experiences navigating the challenges of college life and explained how the Teachings have supported and guided them along the way.

On Sunday, the participants joined the Dendocho staff in performing weed-pulling and grounds maintenance hinokishin. This activity provided an opportunity for the students to express their gratitude to God the Parent for their healthy bodies, supportive friendships, and the blessings they receive each day.

The conference also included recreational activities, highlighted by a visit to Round1/Spo-Cha in Puente Hills, where the students enjoyed spending time together and further strengthening their bonds of friendship.

In preparation for this summer's Children's Pilgrimage to Jiba, the TSA participants worked on a dance choreography project for the Boys & Girls Association of the U.S., Canada, and Hawaii. To make the activity even more fun and engaging, the students were divided into three teams and participated in a friendly competition, presenting their choreographed routines before a panel of judges including the Bishop, Mrs. Fukaya, members of the Dendocho staff, and representatives from the Boys & Girls Association.

Overall, the 2026 TSA Spring Conference was a fun, memorable, and spiritually uplifting experience for everyone involved. It not only strengthened the participants' faith and friendships but also laid the foundation for many exciting TSA activities in the year ahead.
