Donation Drive Raises $4,000 to Support Hawaii Rebuilding
by Disaster Relief Team of Mission Headquarters in America
We continue to extend our support to all those impacted by the March 2026 Hawaii Floods (Kona low storm) around the O'ahu area. We would also like to acknowledge the tireless efforts of the emergency workers and community members who have been working diligently to stabilize those impacted communities and aid the many displaced individuals during these challenging times.
Thanks to the generosity of our many congregation members in the US and Canada and the Mission Headquarters in Hawaii, we were able to raise over $3,900 in donations! This includes proceeds from the monthly bake sales at the New York Center, donation from the NY Fujinkai Association, as well as the monetary donations from our congregation members over the April and May monthly services at America and Hawaii Dendocho.
These funds will be sent to Hawai’i Community Foundation, where they will be used towards the rebuilding of the communities affected by the flooding. As a reminder, these donations will be allocated to assist with necessities like food, shelter, emotional care, recovery planning, and many other facets of disaster recovery. As we continue to receive updates, we will pass along to the congregation.
Although two months have passed since this disaster, the recovery phase will be a long and arduous endeavor that is forecasted to continue for many more years. We ask for your ongoing prayers and support, so that we can come together and unite our minds towards the realization of the Joyous Life world.
