Ashiki o harōte tasuke tamae,

Tenri-Ō-no-Mikoto.

Sweeping away evils, please save us,

Tenri-O-no-Mikoto.

Choto hanashi Kami no yū koto kiite kure,

Ashiki no koto wa iwan dena,

Kono yō no ji to ten to o katadorite

Fūfu o koshirae kitaru dena,

Kore wa kono yo no hajime dashi.

Just a word: Listen to what God says.

I never tell you anything wrong.

Representing heaven and earth

I have created husband and wife.

This is the beginning of the world.

Ashiki o harōte tasuke sekikomu,

Ichiretsu sumashite Kanrodai.

Sweeping away evils, hasten to save us.

All humankind equally purified,

The Kanrodai.

Yorozuyo no sekai ichiretsu miharasedo,

Mune no wakarita mono wa nai.

Looking all over the world and through all ages,

I find no one who has understood My heart.

Sonohazuya toite kikashita koto wa nai

Shiranu ga muri dewa nai waina.

So should it be, for I have never taught it before,

It is natural that you know nothing.

Kono tabi wa Kami ga omote e arawarete,

Nanika isai o toki kikasu.

This time I, God, revealing Myself to the fore,

Teach you all the truth in detail.

Kono tokoro Yamato no Jiba no Kamigata to,

Yūte iredomo moto shiranu.

You are calling this place the Jiba, the home of God, in Yamato;

But you do not know of its origin.

Kono moto o kuwashiku kiita koto naraba,

Ikana mono demo koishi naru.

If you are told of this origin in full,

Great yearning will come over you, whoever you may be.

Kikitakuba tazune kuru nara yūte kikasu,

Yorozu isai no moto naru o.

If you wish to hear and will come to Me,

I will tell you the truth that this place is the origin of any and everything.

Kami ga dete nanika isai o toku naraba,

Sekai ichiretsu isamu nari.

When I, God, reveal Myself and teach you everything in detail,

All people in the world will become cheerful.

Ichiretsuni hayaku tasuke o isogu kara,

Sekai no kokoro mo isame kake.

As I hasten to save all of you equally,

I will set out to cheer up all the minds of the world.

Hitotsu, Shōgatsu koe no Sazuke wa

Yare mezurashii.

First, At New Year, the Sazuke of fertilizer:

How remarkable it is!

Nii-ni, Nikkori Sazuke morotara

Yare tanomoshi ya.

Second, Smilingly, being bestowed the Sazuke:

How promising it is!

San-ni, Sanzai kokoro o sadame.

Third, Keep the mind of a three-year-old child!

Yottsu, Yononaka.

Fourth, Then, a rich harvest.

Itsutsu, Ri o fuku.

Fifth, The providences shall come forth.

Muttsu, Mushō ni dekemawasu.

Sixth, Unlimited abundance everywhere.

Nanatsu, Nanikani tsukuri toru nara,

Seventh, If you grow and reap whatever you wish,

Yattsu, Yamato wa hōnen ya.

Eighth, Yamato will be blessed with a rich harvest.

Kokonotsu, Koko made tsuite koi.

Ninth, Now come hither and follow Me!

Tōdo, Torime ga sadamarita.

Tenth, Then the full harvest will become fixed.

Ton ton ton to shōgatsu odori hajime wa,

Yare omoshiroi.

Tong! Tong! Tong! The beginning of the dancing at New Year:

How delightful it is!

Futatsu, Fushigina fushin kakareba,

Yare nigiwashi ya.

Second, This marvelous construction once it is started:

How lively it is!

Mittsu, Mi ni tsuku.

Third,  Nourishment will be put on you.

Yottsu, Yonaori.

Fourth, The world will change to prosperity.

Itsutsu, Izuremo tsuki kuru naraba,

Fifth,  If all come and follow Me,

Muttsu, Muhon no nē o kirō.

Sixth, I will cut off the root of rebellion.

Nanatsu, Nanjū o sukui agureba,

Seventh, If you help others who are suffering,

Yattsu, Yamai no ne o kirō.

Eighth, I will cut off the root of illness.

Kokonotsu, Kokoro o sadame iyō nara,

Ninth, If you keep your mind determined,

Tōde, Tokoro no osamari ya.

Tenth, Peace shall reign everywhere.

Hitotsu, Hinomoto Shoyashiki no,

Tsutome no basho wa yonomoto ya.

First, At Shoyashiki in the homeland of the Sun,

This place for the Service is the origin of the world.

Futatsu, Fushigina Tsutome basho wa,

Tare ni tanomi wa kakene domo,

Second, This marvelous place for the Service,

Though I ask no one to build,

Mittsu, Mina sekai ga yoriōte,

Deketachi kitaru ga, kore fushigi.

Third, All gathering together from the world,

The construction has been accomplished.

How miraculous it is!

Yottsu, Yōyō koko made tsuite kita,

Jitsu no tasuke wa korekara ya.

Fourth, With much effort, you have followed Me thus far;

True salvation will begin from now.

Itsutsu, Itsumo waraware soshirarete,

Mezurashi tasuke o suru hodoni.

Fifth, Always ridiculed and slandered,

Still I will realize remarkable salvation.

Muttsu, Murina negai wa shite kurena,

Hitosuji gokoro ni narite koi.

Sixth, Never make an unreasonable prayer!

Come to Me with a single mind!

Nanatsu, Nandemo korekara hitosujini,

Kami ni motarete yuki masuru.

Seventh, Whatever may happen, from now on,

I will go single-heartedly leaning on God.

Yattsu, Yamu hodo tsurai koto wa nai,

Washi mo korekara hinokishin.

Eighth, There is nothing so trying as illness;

So from now on, I, too, will devote myself to hinokishin.

Kokonotsu, Koko made shinjin shita keredo,

Moto no Kami towa shirananda.

Ninth, Though I have believed thus far,

I did not know that You are the original God.

Tōdo, Kono tabi arawareta,

Jitsu no Kami niwa sōinai.

Finally, This time, You have revealed Yourself.

No doubt You are the true God.

Hitotsu, Hito ga nanigoto iwō tomo,

Kami ga miteiru ki o shizume.

First, Whatever others may say;

God is watching, so be at ease!

Futatsu, Futari no kokoro o osame iyo.

Nanika no koto o mo arawareru.

Second, Settle the minds of the two of you in one accord!

Then any and everything shall be realized.

Mittsu, Mina miteiyo sobana mono,

Kami no suru koto nasu koto o.

Third, All of you close to Me,

Watch whatever God acts and works!

Yottsu, Yoru hiru don chan Tsutome suru.

Soba mo yakamashi utate karo.

Fourth, Night and day, dong! chang! we perform the Service;

The neighbors may feel it noisy and annoying.

Itsutsu, Itsumo tasuke ga seku karani,

Hayaku yōki ni narite koi.

Fifth, As I am always in haste to save you,

Quickly become joyful and come to Me!

Muttsu, Murakata hayakuni tasuke tai,

Naredo kokoro ga wakaraide.

Sixth, Villagers I wish to save at once,

But they do not understand My heart.

Nanatsu, Nanika yorozu no tasukeai,

Mune no uchi yori shian seyo.

Seventh, Helping each other in any and everything,

Ponder over it from your innermost heart!

Yattsu, Yamai no sukkiri ne wa nukeru,

Kokoro wa dandan isami kuru.

Eighth, All illness shall be completely rooted out,

And step by step your hearts will become cheerful.

Kokonotsu, Koko wa kono yo no gokuraku ya,

Washi mo hayabaya mairi tai.

Ninth, Here is paradise on this earth.

I, too, wish to go quickly to worship.

Tōdo, Kono tabi mune no uchi,

Sumikiri mashita ga arigatai.

Finally, This time, my innermost heart has become completely pure.

How grateful I am!

Hitotsu, Hiroi sekai no uchi nareba,

Tasukeru tokoro ga mama arō,

First, As this world is so wide,

There may be various places to save people.

Futatsu, Fushigina tasuke wa kono tokoro,

Obiya hōso no yurushi dasu.

Second, Miraculous salvation at this place,

I grant you safe childbirth and freedom from smallpox.

Mittsu, Mizu to Kami towa onaji koto,

Kokoro no yogore o araikiru.

Third, God, the same as water,

Washes away the dirts from your minds.

Yottsu, Yoku no nai mono nakeredomo,

Kami no mae niwa yoku wa nai.

Fourth, Though there is no one who is free from greed,

Before God there is no greed.

Itsutsu, Itsumade shinjin shita totemo,

Yōkizutome de aru hodoni.

Fifth, However long you may continue to believe,

Your life shall ever be filled with joy.

Muttsu, Mugoi kokoro o uchiwasure,

Yasashiki kokoro ni narite koi.

Sixth, Forgetting away a cruel heart,

Come to Me with a gentle heart!

Nanatsu, Nandemo nangi wa sasanu zoe,

Tasuke ichijo no kono tokoro.

Seventh, Assuredly I shall never leave you in suffering,

Because this is the place of single-hearted salvation.

Yattsu, Yamato bakariya nai hodoni,

Kuniguni made e mo tasuke yuku.

Eighth, Not only in Yamato,

I will go also to other countries to save you all.

Kokonotsu, Koko wa kono yo no Moto no Jiba,

Mezurashi tokoro ga arawareta.

Ninth, This is the Jiba, the origin of this world.

Indeed a remarkable place has been revealed.

Dōdemo shinjin suru naraba,

Kō o musubo ya naikaina.

Since firmly we are determined to believe,

Let us form a brotherhood.

Hitotsu, Hito no kokoro to yūmono wa,

Utagai bukai mono naruzo.

First, Human minds are so deeply doubtful.

Futatsu, Fushigina tasuke o suru kara ni,

Ikanaru koto mo misadameru.

Second, As I work miraculous salvation,

I discern any and everything.

Mittsu, Mina sekai no mune no uchi,

Kagami no gotokuni utsuru nari.

Third, The innermost hearts of all in the world,

Are reflected to Me as in a mirror.

Yottsu, Yōkoso Tsutome ni tsuite kita,

Kore ga tasuke no motodate ya.

Fourth, I am pleased that you have followed to join the Service.

This Service is the fundamental way for salvation.

Itsutsu, Itsumo Kagura ya Teodori ya,

Sue dewa mezurashi tasuke suru.

Fifth, Always performing the Kagura and Teodori,

In the future I will work remarkable salvation.

Muttsu, Mushō yatara ni negai deru,

Uketoru suji mo sen suji ya.

Sixth, You make prayers thoughtlessly.

The ways of My response are also a thousand.

Nanatsu, Nambo shinjin shita totemo,

Kokoroe chigai wa naran zoe.

Seventh, However eagerly you may believe,

Never entertain wrong thoughts!

Yattsu, Yappari shinjin senya naran,

Kokoroe chigai wa denaoshi ya.

Eighth, After all you must continue to believe.

If you entertain wrong thoughts, you are to start anew.

Kokonotsu, Koko made shinjin shite karawa,

Hitotsuno kō o mo minya naran.

Ninth, Having believed thus far until now,

You should be shown your merit.

Tōdo, Kono tabi mie mashita,

Ōgi no ukagai kore fushigi.

Finally, This time, it has appeared.

The invocation of the fan,

How marvelous it is!

Hitotsu, Hitokoto hanashi wa hinokishin,

Nioi bakari o kakete oku.

First, A single word can be hinokishin.

I simply sprinkle My fragrance around.

Futatsu, Fukai kokoro ga aru nareba,

Tare mo tomeru de nai hodoni.

Second, As My intention is so profound,

No one should prevent it.

Mittsu, Mina sekai no kokoro niwa,

Denji no iranu mono wa nai.

Third, There is no one in the world,

Whose mind does not desire to own a field.

Yottsu, Yoki ji ga araba ichiretsuni,

Tare mo hoshii de arōgana.

Fourth, If there is a good field,

Everyone equally will desire to own it.

Itsutsu, Izureno kata mo onaji koto,

Washi mo ano ji o motome tai.

Fifth, It is the same with everyone,

I, too, wish to own such a good field.

Muttsu, Murini dōse to iwan dena,

Soko wa meimei no mune shidai.

Sixth, I never compel you to do this or that.

That is left to your own heart.

Nanatsu, Nandemo denji ga hoshii kara,

Atae wa nanihodo iru totemo.

Seventh, I wish to get the field by any means,

No matter what the price may be.

Yattsu, Yashiki wa Kami no denji yade,

Maitaru tane wa mina haeru.

Eighth, As this Residence is the field of God,

Every seed sown here will sprout.

Kokonotsu, Koko wa kono yo no denji nara,

Washi mo shikkari tane o mako.

Ninth, Since this is the field of this world,

I, too, will sow the seed devotedly.

Tōdo, Kono tabi ichiretsuni,

Yōkoso tane o maki ni kita.

Tane o maitaru sono kata wa

Koe o okazuni tsukuri tori.

Finally, This time, I am glad to see that all of you equally

Have come here to sow the seed;

Those who have sown the seed,

Shall reap a rich harvest without fertilizing.

Hitotsu, Hiroi sekai ya kuninaka ni,

Ishi mo tachiki mo naikai na.

First, In this wide world and its many countries;

Are there no stones or standing trees?

Futatsu, Fushigina fushin o suru naredo,

Tare ni tanomi wa kaken dena.

Second, Though I carry out marvelous construction,

I never ask a favor of anyone.

Mittsu, Mina dandan to sekai kara,

Yorikita koto nara dekete kuru.

Third, All coming together from the world one after another,

It will be accomplished.

Yottsu, Yoku no kokoro o uchiwasure,

Tokuto kokoro o sadame kake.

Fourth, Forgetting away the mind of greed,

Set out to determine your mind firmly!

Itsutsu, Itsumade miawase itaru tomo,

Uchi kara surunoya nai hodoni.

Fifth, However long you may hesitate,

It will never be accomplished by yourselves.

Muttsu, Mushō yatara ni sekikomu na,

Mune no uchi yori shian seyo.

Sixth, Never hasten so thoughtlessly!

Ponder over it from your innermost heart!

Nanatsu, Nanika kokoro ga sunda nara,

Hayaku fushin ni torikakare.

Seventh, When your mind becomes somewhat purified,

Begin the construction at once!

Yattsu, Yama no naka eto irikonde,

Ishi mo tachiki mo mite oita.

Eighth, Having entered into the mountains,

I have already seen the stones and standing trees.

Kokonotsu, Kono ki kirōka ano ishi to,

Omoedo Kami no mune shidai.

Ninth, Whether to cut down this tree or to take that stone;

It entirely depends upon the heart of God.

Tōdo, Kono tabi ichiretsuni,

Sumikiri mashita ga mune no uchi.

Finally, This time, the hearts of all equally

Have become completely purified.

Hitotsu, Hiroi sekai o uchi mawari,

Issen nisen de tasuke yuku.

First, Clapping around throughout the wide world,

And cleansing human hearts once and twice,

I will advance the work of salvation.

Futatsu, Fujū nakiyo ni shite yarō,

Kami no kokoro ni motare tsuke.

Second, Against any hardship I will protect you;

So lean closely on the mind of God!

Mittsu, Mireba sekai no kokoro niwa,

Yoku ga majirite aru hodoni.

Third, Looking into all minds of the world,

I find greed intermingled.

Yottsu, Yoku ga aru nara yamete kure,

Kami no uketori deken kara.

Fourth, If you have greed, cast it away!

Because God cannot accept it.

Itsutsu, Izure no kata mo onaji koto,

Shian sadamete tsuite koi.

Fifth, It is the same with everyone.

Determine your mind and follow Me!

Muttsu, Murini deyō to yūde nai,

Kokoro sadame no tsuku madewa.

Sixth, I never compel you to go forth,

Until you determine your own minds.

Nanatsu, Nakanaka kono tabi ichiretsuni,

Shikkari shian o senya naran.

Seventh, Indeed, this time all of you equally

Must ponder over it deeply.

Yattsu, Yama no naka demo achi kochi to,

Tenri-Ō no Tsutome suru.

Eighth, Even in the mountains, here and there,

The Service of Tenri-O is performed.

Kokonotsu, Koko de Tsutome o shite iredo,

Mune no wakarita mono wa nai.

Ninth, Though people are performing the Service here,

No one understands My heart.

Totemo Kamina o yobidaseba,

Hayaku komoto e tazune deyo.

Now that you are calling the name of God,

Come forth quickly to the original home!

Hitotsu, Hito no kokoro to yūmono wa,

Chotoni wakaran mono naru zo.

First, The human mind cannot understand truth easily.

Futatsu, Fushigina tasuke o shite iredo,

Araware deru noga ima hajime.

Second, Though I have been working miracles of salvation,

This is the first time that I reveal Myself.

Mittsu, Mizu no naka naru kono dorō,

Hayaku idashite morai tai.

Third, This mud in the water,

I wish you to take it out quickly.

Yottsu, Yoku ni kiri nai doromizu ya,

Kokoro sumikire gokuraku ya.

Fourth, Greed is fathomless like muddy water.

When your mind is completely purified,

Then comes paradise.

Itsutsu, Itsuitsu mademo kono koto wa,

Hanashi no tane ni naru hodoni.

Fifth, Forever this shall become the seed of stories.

Muttsu, Mugoi kotoba o dashitaru mo,

Hayaku tasuke o isogu kara.

Sixth, Though I have spoken such severe words,

It is because of My haste to save you.

Nanatsu, Nangi suru nomo kokoro kara,

Wagami urami de aru hodoni.

Seventh, Suffering comes from your own mind.

So you should reproach yourself.

Yattsu, Yamai wa tsurai mono naredo,

Moto o shiritaru mono wa nai.

Eighth, Though illness is so trying,

No one has ever known its origin.

Kokonotsu, Kono tabi made wa ichiretsuni,

Yamai no moto wa shirenanda.

Ninth, Until this time all of you equally

Have been ignorant of the origin of illness.

Tōdo, Kono tabi arawareta,

Yamai no moto wa kokoro kara.

Finally, This time, it has been revealed.

The origin of illness lies in your own mind.

Hitotsu, Hinomoto Shoyashiki no,

Kami no yakata no Jiba sadame.

First, At Shoyashiki in the homeland of the Sun,

The Jiba, the abode of God, is to be identified.

Futatsu, Fūfu sorōte hinokishin,

Kore ga daiichi monodane ya.

Second, Husband and wife working together in hinokishin;

This is the first seed of everything.

Mittsu, Mireba sekai ga dandan to,

Mokko ninōte hinokishin.

Third, I behold more and more people coming from the world,

And bearing straw baskets in hinokishin.

Yottsu, Yoku o wasurete hinokishin,

Kore ga daiichi koe to naru.

Fourth, Forgetting greed we work in hinokishin.

This becomes the first fertilizer.

Itsutsu, Itsuitsu mademo tsuchimochi ya,

Mada aru naraba washi mo yuko.

Fifth,  Forever continues the carrying of earth.

If yet it continues, I, too, will go.

Muttsu, Murini tomeru ya nai hodoni, 

Kokoro aru nara tare narito.

Sixth, Do not unreasonably stop anyone!

I welcome any and everyone who is willing.

Nanatsu, Nanika mezurashi tsuchimochi ya,

Kore ga kishin to naru naraba.

Seventh, How remarkable this carrying of earth is,

When it serves as a contribution to God!

Yattsu, Yashiki no tsuchi o horitorite,

Tokoro kaeru bakari yade.

Eighth, Digging up the earth of the Residence,

You just carry it from one place to another.

Kokonotsu, Kono tabi made wa ichiretsuni,

Mune ga wakaran zannen na.

Ninth, Until this time, no one has ever understood My heart;

How regretful it is!

Tōdo, Kotoshi wa koe okazu,

Jūbun mono o tsukuri tori,

Yare tanomoshi ya arigataya.

Finally, This year, without fertilizing,

We reaped a sufficient harvest.

Oh, how delighted we are! How thankful we are!

Hitotsu, Ichini daiku no ukagai ni,

Nanika no koto mo makase oku.

First, Initially to the invocation of the carpenter,

I leave any and every detail.

Futatsu, Fushigina fushin o suru naraba,

Ukagai tatete iitsuke yo.

Second, When you begin the marvelous construction,

Give instructions after invoking My will!

Mittsu, Mina sekai kara dandan to,

Kitaru daiku ni nioi kake.

Third, From all over the world, carpenters are coming one after another.

Sprinkle My fragrance on them!

Yottsu, Yoki tōryō ga aru naraba,

Hayaku komoto e yosete oke.

Fourth, When you find good masters,

Quickly bring them to this original home!

Itsutsu, Izure tōryō yonin iru,

Hayaku ukagai tatete miyo.

Fifth, In the future four masters will be needed.

Quickly invoke My will!

Muttsu, Murini koi towa iwan dena,

Izure dandan tsuki kuru de.

Sixth, I never compel you to come forth.

Yet you will come along one after another.

Nanatsu, Nanika mezurashi kono fushin,

Shikaketa koto nara kiri wa nai.

Seventh, Ever so remarkable is this work of construction;

Once begun, there shall be no end to it.

Yattsu, Yama no naka eto yuku naraba,

Araki tōryō tsurete yuke.

Eighth, When you go into the mountains,

Take with you the wood master!

Kokonotsu, Kore wa kozaiku tōryō ya,

Tatemae tōryō kore kanna.

Ninth, Here are the fine work master,

The framing master and the planer.

Tōdo, Kono tabi ichiretsuni,

Daiku no nin mo soroikita.

Finally, This time, all the members of carpenters have assembled.
